We all walk through seasons where life feels heavy—whether it’s anxiety, stress, broken trust in a relationship, or a deep sense of worry you can’t shake. In those moments, it can be hard to see the way forward on your own. My heart is to come alongside you, to listen with compassion, and to remind you that healing and hope are possible.
As a Christian counselor, I believe God designed us for wholeness and peace. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing and discover practical tools, rooted in proven approaches like CBT, ACT, DBT skills, and the Gottman Method, to help you grow stronger. At the same time, we’ll bring God’s truth into the process—renewing your mind, grounding you in His promises, and remembering that you are deeply loved and never alone.
Whether you’re carrying personal struggles, wrestling with anxiety, or working through the ups and downs of marriage, my role is to walk with you in faith and grace. Counseling can be the place where you find rest, where you rediscover peace in Christ, and where you take the next step toward the life God has for you.

At the core of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the process of examining and reshaping your thoughts to be more positive and realistic. Our thoughts are the driving force behind our actions and emotions. By analyzing and challenging these thoughts, we can move them out of their automatic patterns, allowing for meaningful changes in our feelings and behaviors.
This process can be challenging, and I don't want to underestimate the effort involved. However, the results can be truly transformational. The success and positive changes that come from CBT are remarkable, which is why it has been a foundational approach in counseling for generations. Over time, CBT has only improved through refinement and integration with other therapeutic modalities.
Several studies have found that both clients and their therapists view online therapy favorably. It's effectiveness to treat mental health symptoms are just as good as in person with even an increase in outcomes by women.
Counselors undergo specialized training in mental health diagnoses and employ empathetic listening, thoughtful questioning, and therapeutic techniques to empower clients. This approach not only helps individuals navigate life's challenges but also effectively decreases or alleviates mental health symptoms.
This really comes down to the types of symptoms that you have and the frequency, duration, and intensity of those symptoms. For instance, if you're having anxiety most days of the week that you find difficult to control and are causing other symptoms like restlessness, being easily tired, concentration difficulties, irritability, muscle tension, and/or sleep problems then you may have an anxiety disorder. During our first meeting we will assess the severity of your problem and if you qualify for a mental health diagnosis that needs assistance.
As a Christian, I believe that our worldview, the foundation of our beliefs, affects every part of our lives. God tells us to write His word upon our hearts (Proverbs 3:3), for everything we do flows from it (the heart) (Proverbs 4:3).
Anxiety is a common struggle faced by many, especially in Minneapolis and Great Minnesota, and the Bible offers profound wisdom and comfort for those navigating this challenge. Scripture provides reassurance, guidance, and practical insights that can help individuals find peace and strength in the midst of anxiety.
So, you've found a few therapists in Minnesota that seemed nice enough. You probably have a ton of questions—completely normal when you're navigating such an important decision. It's crucial to find someone who not only meets your practical needs but also understands and supports your personal journey towards healing and growth.
Throughout the years seeing a therapist or counselor has been hard because of the preconceived ideas that people had about what must be wrong with you to need to see someone. Called head shrinks, brainwashers, and the like it’s easy to see how there is an underlying negative belief about needing to see a therapist.
